CPI Introduces New Zone Cabling & Wireless Enclosures

May 30, 2008

CPI is offering several new Zone Cabling & Wireless Enclosure Systems, including additional Raised Floor and Ceiling Enclosure sizes, a special Ceiling-Mounted Wireless Enclosure and Multi-User Telecommunications Outlet Assembly (MUTOA) boxes. CPI’s Raised Floor and Ceiling Enclosure line now provides models designed with larger cable access ports to support network connections using today’s larger diameter Cat 6a UTP cables. The new Raised Floor and Ceiling Enclosures include:

CPI’s latest Ceiling-Mounted Wireless Enclosure, the 5” Deep Ceiling Enclosure for Wireless Access Points/Bridges, is designed for the Cisco® Aironet® 1250. This rectangular enclosure mounts above the drop ceiling within a single ceiling tile and contains a fully hinged door that opens into the office space, providing easy access to the wireless access point. The door is punched with a hole pattern for six antennas on the WAP, allowing antennas to hang below the drop ceiling when the door is closed.

MUTOA.jpgAn entirely new type of Enclosure, Multi-User Telecommunications Outlet Assembly (MUTOA) boxes have been added for open office areas, classroom environments or computer labs. CPI’s MUTOA Floor Boxes attach to the floor along a wall or at the base of a cubicle wall panel and provide a fully-hinged locking door to secure network connections. The MUTOA Floor Boxes are available with 24 or 48 individual port locations for user outlets and offer two to four outlets per user, for up to 12 users.

These new Zone Cabling & Wireless Enclosure Systems are available for sale. Nicole McLawhorn, Public Relations/Advertising Specialist
