CPI’s KVM System Gets a Face-Lift

September 12, 2013

2013 KVMChatsworth Products (CPI) recently gave its popular KVM System products a face-lift.

A modern, enhanced design is sure to please users who already praise the qualities of the system's previous style.

For better portability, the new design features a lighter body with a reduced chassis depth. In addition, the LCD console drawer is now 18.1" (460 mm), which allows for two-post rack mounting. The front handle is larger to provide easier grasp.

Another useful improvement is the new touchpad area and buttons, which are now larger and easier to control. A blue power LED on the front makes it easier to see when the system is powered. The keyboard is a bit more compact — now a "G" one — and the KVM membrane was aesthetically changed to a sleeker shape.

Other enhancements on the 2013 version include:

  • "Gbm" 2-button touch pad Trackball (previously "bm" 2-button touch pad)
  • Capacitive touch membrane (previously membrane label only)
  • Fit for tapped rails (previously "one-man" installation kit)

Products being affected by these updates are:

  • 17" LCD KVM Drawer
  • Analog KVM Switch
  • IP KVM Switch
