While it’s been awhile since we’ve talked about the innovative data center cooling technique known as KyotoCooling®, its sterling reputation in the industry hasn’t missed a beat.
This week, KyotoCooling hosted its final seminar event of the year in the Netherlands, where CPI delivered a special presentation on “Optimal Cooling in Cabinets.”
KyotoCooling is of course the unique thermal management solution that uses a rotary wheel air-to-heat exchanger to cool data center air without using a compressor, which can result in an energy savings of up to 85 percent over other designs.
When paired with the hot air isolation of CPI Passive Cooling® Solutions and Vertical Exhaust Ducts on CPI Cabinets such as the F-Series TeraFrame®, the European-based KyotoCooling has now started to build a strong reputation in the U.S., most notably in impressive new data centers for the State of Montana and the BendBroadband Vault in Oregon, which has since been designated Energy Star and LEED® Gold Certified by the U.S. Green Building Council and Tier III Certified in both Design and Facility by the Uptime Institute™.
